Hi guys first time poster planning my first ever interrail.

If you were wanting to go from Athens to Rome via an island would this be possible using an interrail pass and what would the best route be in your opinion. How do the ferries work between Greece and Italy.

Regards
Dan

Which islands do you mean?
Most/some of the IT-bound ferries go via Corfy (Kerkyra in Greek) and thats it.
Do not expect too much from an IR in this case-there are many more ferries, prices vary a lot with season, you still pay Port+Fuel tax with an IR and you will have much more choice without an IR. Just-if you only use it to traintravel back to home, have it start from IT.
