I just came up with the idea, of doing a short trip to the countries, mentioned above. Time would be from august 22 to september 7. But I`m not sure, on where to go and whaht ticket/s to use.

My first plan was to go to Zagreb, spent 2 days there, before heading to Belgrade, for another 2 days, then to Sarajevo, before finally going to the island of Pag for 2 days, followed by the island of Rab, also for 2 days. I would finish this trip with a 2 day stay in Ljubljana.

What I don`t like with this plan is, that I always must go back to Zagreb, to connect to Sarajevo and the islands. Also I like visiting interesting cities, but I also like to be near mother nature, and 15 days is only a short time. So maybe find a better mixture?

I`m planning to do camping, and I`m on a rather low budget.

For the ticket, I think, the IR global 10 in 22 is too expensive, unfortunately, I can`t find the prices for point to point tickets.

So, if you have an idea, on where to go, to have a good mixture of citiy and nature, and if you know a cheaper way than buying the IR, let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

You are right, an Interrail ticket wont make much sense. You could think about doing a round trip: Schleswig - night train to Munich - Ljubljana - Zagreb - Rab/Pag - Sarajevo - Belgrade - Budapest - night train to Berlin - Schleswig.

For your trips to/from Schleswig I would recommend buying Europa Spezial tickets from Deutsche Bahn - you can support our work by buying through our affiliate link [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] at no extra costs of course.
For instance, you could now get the trip from Schleswig to Zagreb including the night train Hamburg - Munich for 60€ in a 6bed couchette. You can buy the ticket to Zagreb but include a stopover in Ljubljana without problems.

To get to the islands you should then take a bus from Zagreb. Then back to Zagreb and train to Sarajevo - bus to Belgrade. From Belgrade you could then take a train to Budapest and from there again use a Europa Spezial back to Schleswig.

Zagreb - Sarajevo is about 30€; Belgrade - Budapest 15€ if bought locally. Bus prices are not very expensive either but I cant give you exact prices.

So, I could have a stop-over in Ljubi, and after 2 days, I could travel to Zagreb on the same ticket?
What do you think would be the overall costs? Just that I know, what I`m dealing with ;)

Yup, you can make a stopover in Ljubljana without problems. Depending on how you are going to include Sarajevo in your trip, you could even buy your ticket all the way through Vinkovci for the same price as it would be to Zagreb.
Overall costs? Including accomodation etc?
