Hi
I want to get the train from paris to munich but cannot get a reservation through the interrail reservation site. Do I have to buy the reservation online or can I wait and buy it at the train station?
Thanks :D

Hi!

This reservation is not available online as far as I know. You would have to buy it at a station.
Alternatively, use a domestic TGV to Strasbourg for which reservations are available at [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux] and then continue by local train to Karlsruhe and then by IC/ICE to Munich.

We are official partners of interrail.eu - to support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

Hi thanks for the quick reply
I went on the interrail reservation site and tried to reserve a train that went from Paris to stuttgart/Munich but I got a reply saying it was fully booked. I read some where that French trains have a limited seats for interrail passengers. So would I still be able to reserve this train at the Paris station?

Well no, if it is fully booked, than it makes no sense to try at a station.
On domestic trains in France, there is no limit for Interrail travellers, only the reservation gets more expensive after a number of seats is booked (9/18€). On international services though, the number of seats can be limited.

Ok thanks
Do you have any recommendations of other routes to get out of Paris and into Munich?

Yeah, like I've written above: Take a domestic TGV to Strasbourg, then local train via Appenweier/Offenburg to Karlsruhe and then with IC/ICE trains via Stuttgart - Ulm - Augsburg to Munich.

If you have bought your ticket via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] upgrade your account to PLUS :arr: https://rail.cc/en/plus and I can look up a route for you. Otherwise you can use schedule planner: [ux]http://plan.rail.cc[/ux]

Hi.
I did not found an order of you via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - you have to click it right before you order. If you use blockers like ad-blocker or Ghostery, it will also not count you.
Did you clicked the link above right before you ordered? Did you used blockers? For now I can not set your profile to PLUS - I'm sorry.
You have to ask for detailed connections at the place where you have the ticket from.
Have sunny travel days, Pete :)
