Hi,

Me and a few friends have planned an extremely ambitious interrail trip for this summer and was just wondering if I could get some advice. Our intention is to get the 10 in 22 day pass. We're looking to travel in August. These are the plans:

Nightbus from London to Amsterdam to start the trip

1) Train from Amsterdam to Berlin, 2 nights in Berlin.
2) Berlin to Prague, 2 nights in Prague.
3) Prague to Krakow (night train), 1 night in Krakow.
4) Krakow to Budapest (night train), 2 night in Budapest.
5) Budapest to Bratislava , 2 nights in Bratislava
6) Bratislava to Vienna, 1 night in Vienna
7) Vienna to Munich, 2 nights in Munich
8) Munich to Venice (night train), 1 night in Venice

a few questions on the above

1) is this schedule a bit too packed or would we be allowing enough time in each city?
2) would we need to pre-book many of the train reservations before leaving / would it be possible?
3) Post Vienna we're unsure where to go... any tips / advice? Maybe head east... is there anywhere nice and convenient?

Many Thanks :D

Hi cbowers.
Yes it is possible. I personally like to make kilometres with Interrail. :)
Add one more night in Krakow or Vienna and skip at least one night in Bratislava.
From Munich to Venice you could also extend the trip and include this journey: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/
London to Amsterdam is also possible by Rail&Sail: https://rail.cc/blog/from-london-to-amsterdam-with-the-dutchflyer/

Amsterdam-Berlin: no reservation required - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/amsterdam-to-berlin

Berlin - Prague: no reservation required, sit on the left - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-prague

Prague-Krakow: do it like described here in the blue box bellow the schedule - hhttps://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/prague-krakow-en-443/148

Krakow - Budapest: buy the night train reservation at a station in Berlin or Prague - https://rail.cc/en/night-train/krakow-budapest-en-402/124

Budapest-Bratislava: no reservation required

Bratislava-Vienna: no reservation required

Vienna-Munich: no reservation required

Munich-Venice: possible by night train - https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/munich-venice-cnl40463/37
