Hi

I'm aware you need to book seats on certain trains. I was wondering how you can do that in advance so that you can get the train time you want. Or will I just be ok doing this at the station a day or 2 before I travel?

Also on one German website for the train I want to travel on over night that is direct from Berlin to Munich it says that reservation is impossible and not on this website. However it lets you reserve earlier trains. Does anyone else have this problem? On the de bahn website.

Cheers

Its the 21:34 train that leaves Berlin and arrives in Munich at 7:05, shows as reservation impossible. Will I have to do this at the station?

If you follow the instructions on https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/berlin-munich-cnl1247/28 you can make the reservation online.
However, on your travel date only reclining seats or couchette beds are available; economy (2nd class) sleepers are sold out - deluxe (1st class) sleepers would be available.
There may also be three bed sleepers available but these cannot be booked online.
