Hello everybody,

I plan to travel with Interrail Global Pass (10 within 22 days) this August and I would like to know (roughly) if the following route is possible, or, more precisely, if it is wise to try to do it:

Belgrade - Budapest - Prague (1 night) - Berlin (3 nights) - Hamburg - Copenhagen (1 night) - Stockholm (1 night) - Malmö - Amsterdam (2 nights) - Paris (1 night) - Barcelona (3 nights) - Madrid (1 morning/afternoon) - Lisbon (3 nights) - Sevilla (1 morning/afternoon) - Barcelona - Marseille (1 morning/afternoon) - Venice (1 morning/afternoon) - Belgrade.

If my calculations are correct, this route is indeed possible, but very tight. Moreover, I am pretty sure that with the current plan I exceed the 10-day travel limit, but I do not know how to manage to connect all of these cities within 10 days.

I would be grateful for any information, insight or idea concerning any part of my little problem.

Thanks in advance,
Anja

Hi Anja!

While your route itself should be doable within 22 days, although it is rather ambitious, you would have to get the 22 day continuous pass - with the 10in22 flexi pass you wont be able to cover all train trips.
Also, there is a number of train trips (Barcelona - Marseille, Marseille - Venice, Stockholm - Amsterdam) which will take quite a lot of time and you might only have a few hours in each of these cities before you have to continue...I dont know if you are content with that. Maybe skip some of the places or think of extending your trip for a few days and include either a plane trip at the beginning or end of your trip or travel with regular tickets before starting with Interrail.

Hi Flo,

Thank you very much for responding so quickly. Yes I have to agree with you, that was something I was afraid of from the beginning, but I wanted to check with more experienced people here anyway, just to pick up some ideas on how to change the route without skipping too many cities... I think that maybe flying in/out of the first and last city is the best option for me.

Thanks again for your time ;)

This may be a good idea. I would try to focus on places far away anyway.
