Dear all,

In midst of planning for my trip to Europe in June, I bought a Eurail Global Pass for my family and myself.

However, when I was looking on possible connecting trains from Denmark (Copenhagen) to Germany (Hamburg/Frankfurt/Munich) and going through the booking process, I realised that there wasn't a chance for me to use the Pass that I bought. Forgive me for my little to no information on Eurail and other passes, but I could not understand why isn't there an option for Eurail Pass-holders to get price reduction for such tickets?

I did a separate booking for a CNL trip from Berlin to Zurich and on this trip, I was allowed an option to select Eurail Pass, and thereafter a price reduction.

Could anyone enlighten me? Did I do a wrong move (by purchasing the Pass) and see my monies go to waste as the pass does nothing in helping me save on my spendings on trains?

Thanks!!

Hi!

Where did you purchase your pass? Did you use this link? [ux]https://rail.shop/eurail[/ux]

I assume you wanted to get train reservations for day trains from Denmark to Germany on the website of Deutsche Bahn? [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
This is not possible online at the website of Deutsche Bahn; you can get this online for instance via https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation or locally at a ticket counter at a station.

Hi Flo,

No. I got mine from this site eurail.com. Would it be possible to reserve train tickets from your suggested sites then? Rather, given the lengthy journey, I was hoping to save some time in the day for some sightseeing. And I just found out that it's possible via Rail.Cc.

Thanks!!

OK well then they should be there to help you as they got your money. ;)

You can use the links I posted above or buy reservations locally at train stations.

Hi Flow,

Forgive me for misspelling your name. Yes, your words knocked some sense into me. I finally understood that Eurail.com & the various sites that you have mentioned are just agents to which train passes are bought. Thank you very much!!!
