So I'm going on Interrail with my friend on April. We're having 22 days global pass and I came here to get some advice, if the route we've planned is realistic.
We've planned to stay overnight or for two days in most places.
starting from Paris
- night train -
Chambery/Nizza (?)
Genova
Firenze
Bologna
Trieste
Rijeka
Zagreb
Graz/Wien (?)
Innsbruck
Muchen
Thanks :D

Hi!
Yeah, the route is definitely doable within 22 days.
You will need reservations for the night trains from Paris; it is advisable to get them in advance, which is also possible online at [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux]
If you choose to go to Chambery you will have to make another extra stop before going to Genova if you want to avoid travelling with TGV.
In Italy you could only go by regional trains if you want to avoid reservation fees. Make an intermediate stop at the Cinque Terre on the way to Firenze (pic below).
Personally I would skip Rijeka for Ljubljana unless you want to go to an island off the coast; from Trieste take the tramway 2 to Villa Opicina and walk to the station. From there you can take a train to Ljubljana (where you have connections to Zagreb and Rijeka).

Thank you! :)
