(Venice - Ljubljana - Zagreb - Budapest - Slovakia - Krakow - Berlin - Amsterdam - back to England) :))

Hey, me and my friend are planning on inter railing for a month to the places above! I'm very excited however I am also confused as to how you know which routes are included in your pass.

I have seen the list of train companies which are included but some of the routes don't include these companies I don't think, does that mean we'll have to pay more for these train routes?

Or am I making it more complicated than it is, and pretty much all trains are included? :((

Thank you for many help!!! :D :D :D

Hey everyone! :D

Me and my boyfriend are planning a month inter railing trip in summer! :))
We just wanted to know if our route was do-able, as I have heard getting to and from some of these might be difficult. Any help will be appreciated!

Leeds airport - Venezia - Ljubljana - Zagreb - Budapest - Presov (Slovakia) - Krakow - Berlin - Amsterdam - back to Leeds airport

We're also hoping for some overnight trains for some places!

Thank you! :D

Hi!

I've merged your two posts as they are basically dealing with the same questions. ;)

Firstly, what are the routes you are concerned about regarding validity of the Interrail pass?

The route itself is quite easily doable with the exception of the Presov - Krakow leg. There are no trains between Slovakia and Poland in this area; the only current trains between both countries are between Cadca and Zwardon in the east of Slovakia but the onward trains from Zwardon into Poland are operated by Koleje Slaskie where Interrail is not valid. You would either have to through Czech Republic or take a bus from Poprad to Zakopane.

Overnight trips do not really make sense/are not available on this route: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

If you are going to Presov you should also think about staying at Kosice nearby.

To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

Hey! Thank you so much for the reply!!

We were looking to add variety to our trip (outdoorsy activities etc.) which is why we initially chose Slovakia. Would you recommend anywhere else more suited to our route that could provide a similar experience?

Thanks again,

Jessie :D

No, I think it is a great idea that you want to go to Slovakia! I have already been to Kosice and Presov and both a nice cities - but Presov is quite small so I would spend more time in Kosice.

If you are into hiking have a look at the High Tatra area around Poprad - you can get to a number of small resorts at the foot of the High Tatra by narrow gauge train from Poprad and Strba, included in Interrail.

To continue to Krakow take a bus from Poprad to Zakopane and then a train to Krakow.

...or, you could also take the night train from Kosice or Poprad to Prague or even Karlovy Vary, Plzen,...before heading to Krakow. :)

Once again, thank you for booking your tickets through our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - no extra costs for you! :)
