Hello! Going for my first interrail experience this year, trying to fit this route into 15 days:
Oporto (flight to) Milan-Ljubljana-Budapest-Vienna-Prague-Berlin (flight to) Oporto.
Do you think this is doable?
Of course, I would make some pit stops in places like Dresden, maybe Bratislava... Has anyone tried this route? Thank you so much!

Ola!

Yes, this route is definitely possible. I would recommend to travel with the 5in10 pass.

From Milan to Ljubljana it is a bit complicated but you can travel there within one day like this: Milan to Venice: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/milan-to-venice Then Venice to Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/venice-to-ljubljana If you need detailed help let me know.

However, you could think about travelling first from Milan to Vienna with the night train: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/milan-vienna-en-481-234/95
Then take the train to Ljubljana, then to Budapest. From Budapest take the night train to Prague (you can also travel by day of course): https://rail.cc/en/interrail/budapest-to-prague

From Prague travel to Berlin and make a stop in Dresden along the way: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/prague-to-berlin

Please note that the schedules in the links above are just examples - there are more connections available.

If you could reverse the route and start in Berlin you could also think about including the Bernina Railway in Switzerland in your journey: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/

Then your trip would look like: Berlin - Prague - Budapest - Ljubljana - Wien
From Wien, take the night train to Zürich https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/vienna-zurich-en-466/64 and leave the train at Sargans. From Sargans you can then travel via Chur - Pontresina - Tirano to Milano as described in the link above.

Thank you! :)
