Hi!

My friend and I will be going inter railing in the summer for the first time, either in July or August, and we're starting to plan it now.

We're still working it out, but we plan to spend about 14-18 days, starting in Amsterdam, heading through Germany, Poland and down into the Balkan countries.

Our flight from Newcastle (UK) to Amsterdam is dead easy to sort, but I'm struggling to find a suitable flight home from the balkans.

Can anyone recommend an airport that has good, frequent, cheap (!) links to UK?
Best I can come up with so far is Bucharest?

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers!
Conor

Hi Conor!

Ryanair flies from Zadar and Budapest to Manchester and from a number of aiports in SE Europe to Stansted.
Wizzair flies from Bucharest to Doncaster/Sheffield and from a number of airports in SE Europe to Luton.
Easyjet also offers flights to different UK airports from several destinations in SE Europe.

To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

There are NO ''cheap'' airprots as such-there are the well known cheap airlines, and flo has named all 3 that do such flites. In summer/high season prices fluctuate wildly with dates-just look further as just the 1 in your busy schedules.
There are scores of cheap-flite finders-just google- for comparisons.
DO read extremely carefully how it all works-esp. with extra luggage etc. Prices can easily double with all the extras.
