My sister and I are 20+22 year old students looking to inter rail around europe for a month this june/july. We are planning on buying an Interrail full 1 month pass. We want were planning on including Berlin, Prague, Budapest, and want to end in Croatia for 5 days of island hopping. Can anyone help us fill out our trip more and advice a good/better route? Where we should fly out to etc.. We had thought maybe Barcelona or Brussels and work our way down. Also any good advice on hostels, trains or attractions in cities is SO appreciated we are quite novice! Thank you to any helpers :) Fliss

Hi!
With a one month pass you can virtually visit all of Europe - do you have any particular interests on where to go or where not to go?
You should consider that prices are generally more expensive in Scandinavia and Western Europe so if that is an issue you might head towards the East/South.
Seeing that you are from Colchester you could also think about taking the Dutchflyer ferry to get to the continent: https://rail.cc/blog/from-london-to-amsterdam-with-the-dutchflyer/
Then you could visit the Benelux countries: Amsterdam/Rotterdam/Delft/Den Haag/Utrecht/Antwerpen/Brussels/Gent/Brugge/Luxembourg before going through France south to Barcelona. Maybe think about including the Yellow Train on your way to Barcelona: https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
From Barcelona you could then travel along the Mediterranean coast via Marseille and Nice to Italy, maybe to the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Siena and Florence or even to Rome.
Then cross Switzerland via this scenic route: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/ and take the night train from Zurich to Berlin before continuing to Prague - Budapest and finally Croatia.
You might also browse this part of the forum where many similar routes have already been discussed.
