Wanting to visit paris, barcelona, brussels, amsterdam, berlin, munich, zurich, venice, prague, budapest, vienna, zagreb, sarajevo and ljubljana in a month, next june. im 18 years old and im wondering whether this is too much for a month, as its 13 countries, 14 cities.
If this is an acceptable amount of places, could you please recommend the best route, ive been looking on this webiste but im finidng it difficult, so help would be great. i want to travel by night trains at every possibility, so as many night trains as possible would be great, hoping to get a night train for almosty all if possible.
Thanks for all of the help, greatly appreciate it! :)

1.THINK: where you from? Why doubletrack paris-barcelona? Ever thought about how to go home-start and back? Specify and dont let others guess.
2.dont be too lazy: just spend a few mins to get to know this site, as about any of the connections you think of are already covered somewhere in this site- jst scroll down and hit all those countries.
3.if its too much or not you can only answer yourself: why do you want to visit a country for only 2 days and what to do there? You wont get any stamps in your passprt anyway to prove that now. But there are already dozens of same type Qs, invariably of too young and unexperienced people on this site too-with ample suggestions on what to think of it.

Hi.
Interrail train connections here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Night trains for Interrail here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
And a round could look like this:
For example by Eurostar (book special price in advance at [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux] ) to Brussels. There you start with your Interrail pass. Then Amsterdam. Berlin. Prague. Night train to Zurich. Munich. Vienna. Budapest. Belgrade. Bus to Sarajevo. Zagreb. Ljubljana. Venice. And then the long trip via Milan, Marseille to Barcelona. Or from Venice to Rome, then by ferry to Barcelona.
Then include the Little Yellow Train on your way to Paris. And use a French night train: https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/

Thanks very much, after a lot of looking i came up with this route:
London to paris france
Paris to brussels belgium
Brussels to Amsterdam nethelands
Amsterdam to munich germany(night train – 20 euros)
Munich to rome italy(night train – 14 euros)
Rome to Vienna austria(night train - 9 euros)
Vienna to berlin germany(night train –5 euros)
Berlin to Budapest hungary(night train – 5 euros)
Budapest to split croatia(night train – 3.50 euros)
Split to Prague czech(night train – 21 euros)
Prague to zurich switzerland(night train – 20 euros)
Zurich to ljubljana slovenia(night train – 9 euros)
Ljubljana to Belgrade serbia(night train – 3.50 euros)
Belgrade – sofia bulgaria (night train – 3 euros)
Sofia- Istanbul turkey(night train – 9.40 euros)
fly back to manchester.
The route you said also looks really good, so i dont know yet. Sorry about the lay out of my route above i just copied and pasted it from my word document, i was just wondering what you think, and whether you think all the night trains is a ridculous idea. I just liked the idea of travelling and sleeping at night, and having the day in the city. I get that it may be a bad route/idea so i was just wondering what you thought. Thanks :)

You are still planning to go for one month, right? So you wont spend consecutive nights on board night trains in a seat which would get quite arduous after a few days...
Assuming you would spend one night in a hostel in between each trip I think it would work though. Personally I would invest that extra money for a couchette/sleeper more often but when I was 18 I also just travelled in seats overnight so thats alright :D
Please consider that the Budapest - Split and Split - Prague night trains are summer season extra trains that do not run every day and might be fully booked well in advance; you may instead travel with one of the two Zagreb - Split night trains instead.

Thanks so much! This is my preffered route at the moment and yes, i would spend one night at a hostel, then the next night on the night train. Do you think it qould be easier to just go budapest to prague and leave split out? Or is there another city i could add in between budapest and prague where a night train runs each night? Also i think one of the night trains was 24 hours, i cant remember which one now, but that would just mean i would get a day rather than 2 wouldnt it? still staying a hostel one night but i would be pretty much straight to the hostel.
Also i was wondering whether the night trains are the same time every night, so the times im looking at now?
Sorry for all of the questions, really! but i appreciate the help a lot :)

Well Split certainly would be interesting to go to but since the direct night train to Budapest is only running thrice weekly (the Prague - Split night train is running twice weekly, coupled to the Budapest - Split train and coupled to a regular train between Prague and Budapest) and it can happen that the train is full you might look for alternatives.
For instance you could add a city in Romania, for instance Brasov: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-brasov-ic-407/118 or https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-bucharest-en-473/120
Another option would be to go Budapest - Krakow - Prague.
There is no 24 hours night train in your list as far as I can see.
Timings will be the same every day, yes, unless otherwise noted above the timings for instance: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/malmoe-stockholm-nt-2/138
Just ask away but please then also buy your ticket off [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] ;)

Thanks a lot. I think i may add krakow in there instead then. Are all my places interesting places to visit in your opinion? Is there enough things to do for an 18 year old for 2 days? Also i would maybe spend 3 days in some places and 1 in others, for example 3 in amsterdam i would like to do, so maybe just the 1 in belgrade for example. When i come to buy it i will buy from here :)

Two days is good for every city on the list - of course you wont be able to see and do everything, especially in the larger places such as Amsterdam, Berlin etc but the point of an IR trip is to see many different places so thats ok.
For me, one day would be enough in: Bruxelles, Zürich, Ljubljana, Sofia and München probably too
Three days in Paris, Roma, Istanbul.
But these are my personal preferences. ;)
You might also look into a day trip to Lake Bled from Ljubljana and to Plovdiv from Sofia (you can also go there in the morning and then take the night train to Istanbul from Plovdiv in the evening). Quick snap from Plovdiv below.

Hi again, merry Christmas! I was just wondering what you think of scandanavia, because I would love to go but I cant fit it in that route I have. Do you think I should substitute it for the countries from eastern Europe? is it easily accessible? Thanks :)

You can book the following night trains online:
Amsterdam - Munich
Munich - Rome
Rome - Vienna
Vienna - Berlin
Berlin - Budapest
Prague - Zurich
How to get the reservations online is explained on the site with the details of each night train, for example: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/amsterdam-d%C3%BCsseldorf-cologne-munich/city-night-line-419-pollux/11
You can also try to get reservations for the other night trains at [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] but I would instead recommend to get these reservations at a ticket counter at a station during your trip which will be cheaper.
Regarding Scandinavia, it is up to you to decide - it will certainly more expensive than Eastern Europe.
It is not more or less complicated to get there - there is a thrice weekly Berlin - Malmö night train in summer and two hourly trains from Hamburg to Copenhagen from where you can continue to Malmö and further to Sweden and Norway; several ferries connect Stockholm and other cities with Finland - or you can travel on land by bus (included in InterRail) from Lulea to Kemi: https://rail.cc/blog/from-kemi-to-lulea-by-bus/

Thanks :) when booking reservations at a ticket counter, do I get each one from the country or is there a ticket counter where I just get them all? if you understand what I am saying haha :)
Any recommendations on places to see? :)

Hi.
Example: in Munich central station you surly will get reservations for Munich-Rome (of course as departure station), Rome-Vienna, Vienna-Berlin and so on. All in one step, at one single ticket window.

One more thing, while still young, I plan on visiting all 30 countries, so it will be about 15 one month and 15 another time, probably the summer after. So my route now is 15 countries but a bit all over the place. Do you think I should stick with it, or do you think I should do all of western Europe in one trip, then summer after do all of eastern? Thanks for all the help :)

Dude, just do what you feel you want to do and go to places where you want to be. :)
You can visit quite a few places within one month, especially if you are fine with travelling a lot, including overnight travels.
If you are interested I would recommend to go not only to the capitals but also try to include a few smaller cities and some scenic routes to see a bit of the country as well.
Suggesting a completely planned route does not make much sense though in my opinion; fwiw a possible route could look like: Paris - night train to Latour de Carol or Perpignan - do the Petit Train Jaune: http://vimeo.com/115029113 - Barcelona - Girona - Marseille - Nice - Cinque Terre - Rome - Assisi/Perugia - Bernina route: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/ - Zürich/Bern - night train to Vienna - night train to Warsaw - Krakow - night train to Prague - night train to Budapest - night train to Berlin - Amsterdam
Just a possible route which should work out in a month - but there are so many more possibilites and it is hard to recommend any particular places to visit if you apparently do not really know yourself where to go and what to see. ;)
You could also easily spend a month just in France or Italy or...but for a start I think it would be a good idea to do many different countries and therefore also cultures; you could still add more countries within one month, no problem. :)

Any suggestions on what to do/see in each of my cities? :)
