Hi im planning to get the 30 day pass for next summer and i have list of all the cities I want to visit but im not sure if it's too ambitious or how I'd go about getting night trains on some of the longer journeys and if i have to make reservations or which trains, it's all very confusing! I would like to visit Geneva, Milan, Venice, Ljubljana, Bled, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Vienna, Bratislava, Krakow, Prague, Leipzig, Berlin, Amsterdam and then stopover in Brussels on the way back to London. I hope to stay overnight or for two days in most places, only staying for three in perhaps Krakow and Prague, I would really appreciate any guidance or words of wisdom,
thankyou in advance
Mark

Hi Mark!

I dont think that the route is too ambitious, looks pretty solid - you will be fine with one day in Bled, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Bratislava for sure, so there would be still a bit of time available in case you would like to add another city or stay longer at one particular place.
Regarding your route, reservations and night trains:
Since most of the places you want to visit are close to each other there are almost no legs which you could do overnight - the only ones that would make sense would be Bratislava - Krakow and Krakow - Praha however both of these trips are not too long as well. You may rearrange your route a bit in order to fit in a few more night trains:
Venice - Vienna (by night train); then Hallstatt - Salzburg - Ljubljana/Bled; for a list of night trains have a look here (we currently update the timings for 2015 so check again next year as there will be some night trains cancelled): https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
Regarding reservations, you can get these locally at the train stations - but you wont need many anyways. In fact you will only need reservations for Geneva - Milan; Milan - Venice; and to get to and away from Krakow.
Also have a look here: https://rail.cc/en/first-time-interrail

To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

Thankyou for the quick and informative reply! You've given me some confidence behind my schedule, I shall of course buy my pass via this site, is it still maximum 3 months in advance through you guys?

You're welcome.
Yeah, pre booking time is 3 months, whereever you buy the pass. If you have more questions just ask - it is still a while until next summer so your route might change until then.
