I purchased a InterRail ticket from railcc the other day and choose Last Name Hoang since my passport has this name.. While booking my CNL ticket today I stumbled upon an issue where I am not allowed to use my passport as identification on DB BAHN.. Now I don't have any other ID cards with the same name other than a debit card.
What should I do?
EDIT: My passport+InterRail pass is [b]Rui Jie Hoang[/b], while my ID card is [b]Rui Jie Chen[/b]

HOW did you book CNL? Most common is by credcd (IF you are not German) and in fact your preferred check for online booking you had to mention when do the booking- it can in fact not even be an ID or passpt-it must be bankcd or so (or any BAHN/DB-as most Germans go by train have). It is also printed on your booking confirmation, with most often the end nrs only. Lah.
You are aware you can only travel with IR with proof you have lived over 6 month in EU-zone?

I want to reserve on their website in other words online and I am paying with a debitcard. They ask me to pick an option to identify myself on the ride which is creditcard(can I identify with debitcard?), a few other train tickets or a ID card such as national ID. But the problem is all other ID cards don't have the same name as my interrail ticket. Only passport and my debit card.

It is a known issue that DB wont accept passports as ID for online tickets (I know it from personal experience); anyway I dont see a problem using your debit card (if it works) to buy the reservation, even when there is another name on the debit card and reservation compared to IR ticket and passport.
You can proof your idendity and ownership of the IR ticket with the passport; and you can also proof idendity and ownership of the reservation using your debit card. I dont think it will be an issue that there are two different names on your documents - after all you have proof/idendity for both IR ticket and reservation.
