Hi!

As part of planning to go from Barcelona to Nice. We are using the following page as a guide:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-nice

However, we are wondering; When we are at Barcelona Sants Station, how do we know which train to get on? From that page we can\'t tell what the trains final destination is. We searched the SNCF and RENFE site and apparently this route doesn\'t exist. We are kind of worried that we might follow this schedule for example, only to find that it doesn\'t exist!

Can you tell me how we will know what train to get from Barcelona to Cerbere? We are confused! Is this route still alive? Do we just board a train that is headed for Cerbere, and can it be verified that this train is still up and running?

Thanks!

Hi!

For what exact day are you looking for?
There are a number of trains from Barcelona to Cerbere, you normally find them on RENFE website (unless they are messing something up again over there); split your search: Barcelona - Cerbere on website of RENFE, Cerbere - Nice using a regular schedule planner or on the SNCF website.
In case the RENFE website does not work use the schedule planner of Generalitat de Catalunya at http://rodalies.gencat.cat/ca.

At the Barcelona stations look for R11 to Cerbere and/or Portbou.

In general you find here my detailed blog for the whole route Barcelona to Marseille and Nice. Including schedules, photos and more: https://rail.cc/blog/barcelona-marseille-nice-train/
