Me and my girlfriend have planned a rough route for interrailing next Easter but are struggling finding hotels. Obviously as a couple we want our own private room (double or twin) in the best location possible. Are potential route is Munich, Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana and lastly Venice. I've mainly looked at Venice as I suspected this would be the most costly, and I can't find a hostel/hotel for less than around £60 per night for us both. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places? If anybody has any recomendations of hotels, hostels or even websites that can offer the room we need at a better price then that would be great! :D

Hi!
I dont know where you have been looking, but for hostels/hotels I can recommend these affiliate links:
[ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]
[ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
You can also look into sites such as airbnb.com or homestay.com if you are interested in staying at private properties.
60 GBP for a double room in Venice does not sound excessively expensive IMO, just for comparison I had to pay 30€ in a dorm in Munich this summer or about 70€ in a single room in Paris in May...so 60 GBP for a double in Venice seems reasonable to me.

Thanks Flo :) Based on what you've said how much do you reckon we'd end up spending on hotels between us?

Well this depends on your personal demands, date of booking etc...in Budapest, Zagreb, Ljubljana you may find decent offers for around 40€ or so; in the other cities prices may be higher (especially in Munich and Venice) starting from maybe 60€...but these are just vague estimates - you will have to look at the sites mentioned above yourselves to get an impression of offers and rates in each city. :)
