I'm planning to take a long trip this winter from Bucharest (Romania) to Narvik(Norway) and i was thinking to take the 10 day pass (10 in 22).
I'm creating the itinerary right now and want to know a thing; the night rule with the train leaving after 19:00 and not changing it until 05:00 is clear, but i propose one other situation:
- If i take a train let's say after 19:00 in day one, get to the destination after 05:00 and take another train until late in the night of day 2 (before 23:59) will i be charged with one day or two from the InterRail pass?
- Almost the same situation, let's say i take a long train in day one from 00:01 until the evening and than change to another train after 19:00 that goes all night until day two after 05:00; does this mean 1 or 2 days of the pass.
Hope i was clear enough :)

This is the intended use of the 1900 rule; you will only be charged one day of your InterRail pass, namely day 2. Also consider that your pass has to be valid on day 1 (this is important if you want to start your trip using the 1900 rule).

This would require two days, the 1900 rule can not be applied in reverse.

Thank you! :)
