Hello everyone.
First of all, thanks for sharing your knowledge in this site, I've been reading the forum intensely ever since I found out I wanted to go Interrailing.
There is something that I have a hard time finding info about though.
Camping... does anyone have some experience with camping as a main accomodation? My boyfriend and I are planning on going Prague, Rome, Naples, barcelona, San Sebastian... and everything in between will be on impulse.
Is it possible to rely on camping sites?
Do we have to book in advance or are there usualy room? (were going in july for a month)
Is it safe or will we get robbed? ^^
Are there usually lockers where we can pu our backpacks during daytime, while we explore other places?
And finally... Is it really cheaper than sleeping in youth hostels etc?
I really hope thre is someone here with experience to share :D

i'v been te prague last year and i stayed at a campsite outside the center. I got the adres out of a lonely planet guide, can't remember where it was. I thought it was a really nice alternative for a hostel, we paid about 1.50 in euros a day so it really is a lot cheaper. The only disadvantage is that the last tram to the campsite left at 00:15.
You don't have to book in advance, it is quite safe but there are no lockers to put you backpacks, you can leave your valuables at the frontdesk
