Just want to let people know about the direct train from Zagreb to Budapest.
We had to change to a bus, then train again, then bus again and then train again. A train that is supposed to be direct taking about 6 h 20 min ended up taking 9 h! And several changes. The information was really poor aswell, they didnt speak English.
Dont know the reason to this but just want to let people know.

Thanks for the up-to-date information! :)
Apparently there are track works in Hungary and a bus replacement service operates between Balatonszemes and Siofok but I dont know about the other part where you had to travel by bus.
Do you remember which was the other part? Did you leave Zagreb by bus or train?

its IMPossible to keep track of all these-often very short notice and for short time only-works. That ''noone'' will speak english in outofbigcity villages seems only natural to me- Would ANy Swede be able to speekee the Hungarian if tagersättendebuss goer? Information on it-if it is made at all-usually only consist of some small notes only in the local language in some very well hidden noticebaord. These buses (SEV in German) will never ever go far over borders, as each state run railway hirs its own.
This is just only 1 example of the hidden surprised that those trainfreaks never ever talk about-fearing it may lead to less customers.

Sorry i dont remember where the changes was. And yes the first part leaving Zagreb by train.
I know it is impossible to update all those changes that is why i write here so that people will know. And about the languge I think that people working on an international train should know enough English to tell people they have to change to bus.
