Good Morning Guys
I was wondering if any members on the site would be able to help me , myself and my partner are starting InterRailing Next year on 6th August Starting in room (Flying out to start).
I will Be purchasing 2x Unlimited Use 1 Month for Under 25 Interrail Passes My question is , Will the passes cover all trains such as the train from the airport in Rome to Rome city centre? or will i incur a fee for this?
Also we will be staying in room for 4nts so will be departing on Monday 10th august and leaving room at 7pm to travel on a Night Train up to Munich (Germany) and are interested in staying in a 2 bed car with private Bathroom , The price for this which i can find for 2 of us is £175 with the interrail pass discount Does that sound Correct.
My Final Question is if we Start using our Passes on the 6th of August will the last us until the 6th of september?
Thanks in Advance to everyone that replies really appreciated. o)

1 month simple means-as about anyone with some proper lower school should have learnt: from day X till(and incl.) day X-1 (or till-excluding)-day X-next month. With next month day X including it would be month+1 day.
This pass you mention is the costliest-but apparently you are Brits who have no idea of what normal trains should cost-for the usual runofthemill allthesame routings, lower cost flexible day passes are better value.
As for now, NOOne will be able to tell prices for next year-or if that train will even run by then. Also: its quite possible you need 1st class ticket( thus also pass) for such luxury sleeper. This site mainly aims at young, rather poor IR-ers, who aim more at lowering spending. You should know that anything here ''on the continent'' is done by in €.
The fast trains from that airprt are 1st cl only (not that they tlook like it, but to push up the cost of superrich air-users). There are slower local trains NOT to main stazione Termini in Roma that also have clase segundo=2nd
Most in the know advise against going to IT/ROma in august-all Italiano have left town, private shops closed, its overrun with turistici and often far too hot anyway.

I am asking Questions Because i simple am not sure how inter-railing works and FYI I am Irish Not British (Not that it matters anyway) thanks for some of the information it is helpful but at the same time i think you need to work on your manners , that entire posts comes across very arrogant. On another note do you think it will be better value to buy flexi passes, i am not poor and we have £6000 spending between us on a 4 week trip to include travel and accommodation that should be plenty.

Hi!
It is still a long time until Aug 2015 but anyway:
- General infos about reservations/supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
- There is a dedicated airport express Leonardo Express from Fiumicino to Termini (central station) which is not included in IR as far as I know; however you can use regular suburban trains to Ostiense and Tiburtina stations. Anyway, if you want to extend your travel I would buy an InterRail ticket with the day you leave from Rome as first day of validity and get an extra ticket for the travel from the airport to the centre.
- Night train fares: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/rome-munich-cnl-484/34 (fares are per person, the more expensive peak fare is valid during summer)
- The pass would be valid from 6th August until 5th September.
To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

Hello folks
I am not sure whether my experiences with night trains in 2013 and 2014 will be of any help in your planning, but for what it's worth, here goes.
For a month in the June of both years I took trips using Night Trains whenever possible (only hotels or ferries where absolutely necessary). The Rome to Munich night train figured in both years' itineraries. In both years I travelled on the CNL train in both directions and i was delighted with the experience. Although the space in the sleeper compartments was necessarily limited, it would be quite adequate for two people. The shower and WC facilities were also small but adequate and very clean.
The beds are not large but OK and I had no difficulty in sleeping in them. They were quite comfortable.
I booked the Deluxe sleeper cabin (which included the Deluxe breakfast). The amount of food provided was more than I needed for breakfast, and I was able to pack myself a small lunch box as well !
My reading of the current DBahn/railcc online booking site is that (at least until December) the cost for a reservation for 2 persons in Deluxe Double cabin with an InterRail Pass would be 150 Euro. Of course things can change and may do so by August next year! And I think now there are seasonal variations in the prices Summer/Winter. But all will be revealed closer to the time!
Because I wanted to make sure I had a bed, private shower and WC each night, I went on-line as soon as reservations opened for each day (night) of travel. This was at midnight roughly three months in advance. I never missed out on getting a Deluxe Double cabin.
Don’t be worried by the tone of the post by “nltrainer”. He always seems to have some difficulty in being nice! It’s nothing personal.
I am sure that your month will be most exciting.
Enjoy!
