Hi guys, we leave the UK and fly into Paris on the 16th sept. I put the start date on my 5 in 10 pass as the 16th so when we land in Paris do we need to validate the passes? Also thinking I maybe should have put the start date for the 17th as we may not be doing much travelling on arrival, o well not to worry. Land in Paris around lunchtime? Maybe the pass would come in handy getting from the airport to our accommodation? (18th arr Montmartre). Thanks :) JimboJr.

Hej!

You do not have to validate your ticket.
Using a IR travel day to get into the city would be a waste, buy regular tickets instead.
What airport are you flying into? There used to be a free ticket available for the transfer from CDG to Paris Gare du Nord on RER services but apparently this is not longer offered. But you could check at CDG anyways if you land there.

Cheers flow we fly into cdg airport. Because the start date is on the 16th does this mean we have until midnight on the 26th to use the pass? Or would it be ten days after my first use ie if my first travel day is the 17th would it end on the 27th? Am I right in thinking il either be losing a day out of ten days, or wasting a travel day on arrival? Thanks JimboJr :)

Yeah, the IR is valid ten consecutive days from the first day of validity:
16/09 until 25/08; you can use the 5 travel days within these 10 days.

Best option to get into the city will be then RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord, change there to Metro 2 at La Chapelle or Metro 4 to get to 18 arr. For detailed connections have a look at ratp.fr
