I am planning to travel from Montbard France to Paris tomorrow and was wondering if anyone could let me know if we are able to travel this route on our passes alone. I realised the TGV needs a reservation but to TER need one?

Edit!
Think I have answered my own question. Using the sncf website. If it's a TER there is no additional costs but takes longer. This can be deleted if necessary!

Hi.
Have a look here for details about reservations in France:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr

There are several direct TGV trains (journey takes ~ 1h) which require a reservation. To book such a reservation, use this link: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation[/ux] - also available at train stations.
But like you already found out by yourself, there are as well direct and free (for Interrail) regional TER trains (~ 2 hours journey). I definitely recommend to use a TER train.

Tomorrow by free TER train:
Montbard dep 08:07 / Paris-Bercy arr 10:22 (https://rail.cc/en/paris/paris-bercy-station/l283)
Montbard dep 10:07 / Paris-Bercy arr 12:22
Montbard dep 14:18 / Paris-Bercy arr 16:22
Montbard dep 16:07 / Paris-Bercy arr 18:22
Montbard dep 18:07 / Paris-Bercy arr 20:22

Peter :)
