Hello there railccr's.

I'm going interrailing in September and I would like YOUR help cause I'm an amateur in the subject :|

I will buy an 10-22 interrail pass and I `m 19 years old(Youth).

I have upload my schedule on my dropbox account, so please check it out.
www.dropbox.com/s/a3yuse2xydfeszu/schedule.docx?dl=0

Is my plan ok, and fitted for the pass, or it is off schedule? I have problem counting travel days :P

1st question.
In the first day, I leaving greece to italy on a ship(anek lines) at 17/09 23:59.
17/09 will count as my starting day, right?? :/

2nd question.
ICE require reservations or not? :p

3rd question.
I'm gonna travel from budapest to beograd and from beograd to thessaloniki with night trains.
What's the reservations needed for both?

And my last question.
What's the difference buying from interrail.eu and via railcc partner links [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] ?
Is there a difference in Rail Pass Safeguard Plan with railcc and interrail.eu?

ANY tips and ideas, concerning my trip are welcomed and fully appreciated!

Thank you,
Nick

Hi Nick.
Please post the text of your route in this topic and not on an external resource - as the link you gave will disappear one day and future readers can't follow anymore.
Thanks, Peter

And another question.

in interrail.eu the costs go like this(for 2 passes):
InterRail Global Pass 10 days within 22 days Promo Youth 2 x 229 €
Travel Package (English)Pass cover, pass guide and the Eurail Timetable booklet. 2 x free
Pass Loss & Theft Coverage Protect your pass against loss and theft. 2 x 11 €
Budget Shipping 1 x free
Total amount 480 €

in railcc / acp(for 2 passes):
INTERRAIL GLOBAL YOUTH FLEXIPASS-PROMO €458.00
RAIL SAFEGUARD PLAN €38
Total: €496.00

why there's a difference in the price?

Hi!

1) Sadly, yes. Your pass has to be valid (first day of validity) on 17/09, you can use the 1900-rule and enter the 18/09 as first travel day.
2) No, except for travel between Germany and France and ICE Sprinter trains. https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
3) https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

With your purchase via railcc [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] you support all the work we do and informations we provide such as this answer - for free. Thank you.

The price difference is due to the fact that railcc can only sell InterRail ticket through the parnter company ACP Rail which currently can not provide cheaper shipping. There is no difference in the ticket, whereever you buy it but we rely on people buying through [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] to keep on providing free support.

Hi Nick.
ACPRail includes free express shipping within 1-3 business days and can track your letter with the ticket, I think this is not the case with budget shipping of the other shop.
If you ordered via the ACPRail shop [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] , let me know your order-PNR and I will set your profile to PLUS.
Peter :)

Great, thank you! :)

Tirano - Zürich: Please consider that the Disentis/Mustér - Göschenen part of this route is operated by Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) which do only grant a 50% reduction for InterRail Youth pass holders. If you want to travel this route you will need an extra ticket which you can buy at a Swiss station, I would recommend to do so in Tirano at the RhB station where the trains to St Moritz leave. It will be 11,40 CHF
Although this might not be best news, the line is absolutely worth the extra cost!
Tirano - Pontresina: Sit left
Samedan - Reichenau-Tamins: Sit left
Disentis/Mustér - Andermatt: Sit left
Andermatt - Göschenen: Sit right

Beograd - Thessaloniki night train: Seats are for free, couchette is 8€
