Hi

I have a question: I bought an InterRail ONE COUNTRY pass (3 days within a month) and I would like to know if I travel on a night train (from 22:09PM to 23:00PM) from Florence to Bologna and then I take the train from Bologna to Ancona (08AM to 10:20AM) and finally i take the ferry to Split by 20:30PM that arrives to Split at 08AM, it counts as one day? Or 2 days of travelling?

Hi!

Florence - Bologna - Ancona will be two travelling days; the ferry from Ancona to Split is not included in the pass so you dont have to worry about it.

Thank you, but I checked out the connections between Ancona and Split and I saw that are 3 available between Ancona and Split.

Are you sure it is not included?

And to Greece, do you know if the ferries are included?

Yes they are, you only have to pay port and fuel taxes as well as a seasonal surcharge which will sum up to about 20-30€ per trip.

Thank you so much :)

And to Croatia the pass only offers reduced fares? To make a trip Ancona-Split, what would be the price?

No, there are no reductions. You can see a list of available ferry companies and basic fares at the link I posted above. :)

Ok :) Thank you so much.
Do you know if when I arrive in Italy I can change my pass to an Italy PLUS one, by paying the difference?

canNOT-can, if at all possible, only on point of sale. And as you cannot use it in IT as Italiano, it must have been outside.
Frankly: for such short trips an IR-1C is a giant throw-away the money. For Bol-Anco you can also use the slower, but cheaper Regionale Treni. In BOL is more to see as in Anc, I would travel later in the day. Note that port in Anc is quite some distanzia from the stazione.
