Hi I am looking to buy a couple in interrail passes today but need closure on if it is the most suited one for our trip! After much modifying basically all our itinerary I thought it would be wise to start a new thread, Apologies for the mess :) . The pass I have in mind is the 5 in 10 days, we land in Paris on the 16th sept, 3 nights, get a sleeper over to Munich (staying in Augsburg) for the Oktoberfest, another 3 nights, train to Prague maybe 2 nights, sleeper to Krakow 2/3nights, then down to Budapest before finishing in Venice. We catch a flight out of Venice on the 8th Oct over to Southeast Asia! So would this be a the better option to go with or maybe the 10 in 22 as there will be a few local train rides etc?? A bit confused but could do with buying them asap. Thanks JimboJr :)

Hi.
Go for the 5 in 10 Interrail Pass: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
If you need an extra day, buy a normal point to point ticket for either Munich-Prague: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] or Prague to Krakow: https://rail.shop/cd[/ux]
For Augsburg to Munich have a look at the Bayern Ticket (available at ticket machines in railway stations) - good for travel with local trains within Bavaria, also as a group up to 5 persons.
Budapest to Venice: think about including Bled - https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/
If you want to use the night train Paris-Munich, reserve as soon as possible, as this is definitely PEAK travel time for Munich!!!
See here bellow the map: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/paris-munich-cnl40451/32
