Hello I wrote on this forum a few weeks back asking about the interrail promo pass, available from August 1. I asked for advice in this post

https://rail.cc///f10989

I was given advice to wait until the 1st August then book for the promo rates and it would be fine for my dates (27th August). Since then it has now changed so that you can only travel from the 15th September for the offer. Can they get away with doing this after already giving out information about it being ok on my dates?

I have made plans booked flights and budgeted for the promo pass, and will now have to pay around £50 more to get the pass I want. While it may not seem a lot when your on a budget it makes a big difference.

Thanks

Hi.
railcc is not a company, just a project.
The links and shops are affiliate systems which grant us a little commission for every sale - to pay the railcc servers, the programming, the content - all the FREE information you get on railcc - and the bread we eat.
I can only publish the information I get - and the one I had in the past was the 01.08. Now sadly it changed. I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules - I'm only running a website trying to help Interrailers for more than 20 years now.

hi thanks for the reply and help. i notice the extremely rude other reply from another user had been deleted !

When I say can they get away with this; I meant the company who set the pricing for the passes, was not referring to your website or the hard work you do. Just seems frustrating that they can promise one price then change it last minute, leaving us no choice but to pay it. If it was a pricing error that's fair enough, guess it's just one of those things.

Thanks for your help anyway
