Hi everyone,
we're planning an interrail tour in Norway, but we're not sure how to get from Stavanger to Bergen by ferry. Does anyone know which connection there is? and the departure times?

Actually it is not possible to book a Bergen-Stavanger journey or vice-versa with Fjordline. You can either book Bergen-Hirtshals (DK) or Stavanger-Hirtshals but not the domestic journey in Norway.
In summer 2013 we travelled Bergen-Stavanger by a fast ferry run by Norled called Flaggruten, but apparently this service has ceased as of January 1st. So the only remaining option is going by bus, which is supposed to be quite a scenic journey, too. Check on the Kystbussen or Nettbuss websites for timetables and fares.

Hey me and my travelling buddy were considering this route, we've already bought an interrail pass, but understand that there is no trains between Bergen and stavanger.
so if anyone could answer these questions that would be great :)
the two options seem to be to ferry or to take a bus.
1.) How long is the ferry ?
2.) does anyone recommend or more importantly, not recommend one of these methods?
3.) how long would you recommend staying in both theses places ?
4.) any other useful tips/info for Norway and Scandinavia travel anyway
current rough plan is to enjoy the train from oslo to bergen and that it basically, so very early planing , on this specific bit of the trip.

As JoySeeker already mentioned above, you cannot book a domestic journey Stavanger - Bergen on Fjord Line services; and the Flaggruten service has ceased in 2014.
