Hi there!

I'm planing a trip to eastern europe with my girlfriend on january.

We want to know if it's much cheaper to get the tickets months before or if it's practly the same to buy them a few days before. We would like to buy them when we are there to stay/leave whenever we want, but money is allways important.

Thank you for your answers!

Guido

Hi Guido.
Pre-booking time is usually 2-3 months in advance, depends on the country.
In Eastern Europe, prices are low and interesting for train travel.
You will also be fine to book just two weeks in advance, depends on the seasons you travel, Peter :)
