My husband and I will be taking the Little Yellow Train through the Pyrenees. We will be travelling on August 28 or 29. Which route is better? From Villefranche Vernet Les Bains to Latour de Carol or from Latour to Villefranche? We are open to do either but won't have time for a round-trip.

Thanks,
Aimee

Hi Aimee,

this mainly depends on your overall route - where are you coming from, where will you be going afterwards? Going from Latour to Villefranche makes it easier to get a good seat in my experience. Have a look at our video documentation https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/

And downhill is much more fun than uphill. ;)

We are open to either route even though our overall route is from Spain to France to Belgium and finally Netherlands. We don't mind backtracking in some places since we have the Eurail Select Passes. But it sounds like from Latour to Villefranche is more fun and would be less crowded anyway.

Thank you!

Hi Aimee.
Maybe interesting to read for you: https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
And to support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Eurail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/eurail[/ux]
Thank you! :)
