Hi travelers,

I'm planning a trip from Amsterdam to Krakow using the overnight EN 447 to Warsaw. The DB site tells me to change at Warsaw - Zach to the Krakow train. I have a 16 minute connecting time, and was looking to see how well that EN train performs before purchasing my PKP ticket. Anyone have any experience with this train and its ability to make the schedule?

Thanks,

Hi!

I dont have the punctuality ratings at hand (you could at least look up the punctuality for today at http://www.rozklad-pkp.pl/bin/query.exe/pn?) but in my experience I would not rely on a 16 minute connection.
It might be better to book one train (at least) later to Krakow from Warsaw...

wil use it next week-but thats just 1 from a 1000+ chances. Used it at least ev. year when it was the CNL Jan KIepura, and ran about 1,5 hr earlier ex-Berlin (it now stands there to joing with the earliest BWE_so that means long time to wipe out delays from before) and then 3 out of 4 it was about on time-and the delay was very, very long.
Check if there is now a connection in Poznan-though that means a slow ride from there.

In Waw-zachod=west they are building/renovating-its part oldtime ugly and part nice+new. There is a large INTernational busstation beside-so there is ample to eat, drink/rest when you have to wait longer. Centralna is now all-new and very expensive.
