Hi,
depends on how flexible you want to be and when you want to travel. Interrail ticket on promo: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass 239€
But e.g. Vienna - Zurich start 39€ @ ÖBB https://rail.shop/oebb[/ux]
same for Zurich - Paris @ SBB [ux]https://rail.shop/sbb[/ux] / [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]
Paris - Amsterdam 35 @ SNCF [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]
For Amsterdam - Vienna you may not by a direct connection on [ux]https://rail.shop/nsinternational[/ux] but maybe to different tickets e.g. Amsterdam - Frankfurt (39 € DB [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ) & Frankfurt - Vienna (cheapest I found now (just quickly looking) 59€). [Maybe also have a look at ÖBB again, their amount of cheaper tickets isn't sold out that fast ]
So All in all it might be cheaper to by separate tickets, but you than have to buy them (month) in advance. Otherwise you have to check the websites for the days you want to travel at. But Interrail could be worth it, because you are more flexible and cheap tickets are sold out fast, connecting the major cities.

Thanks for the reply.
The travel plan has changed now. We are planing to travel from Vienna to Paris. Stay in Paris for 2-3 days then travel to Amsterdam stay 2-3 days then back to Vienna through Germany. Is is better to buy interrail or there are cheaper options?
Thanks,
Kim.

Hi Kim.
Depends ... compare the point to pint tickets - if you book early, you can get good prices.
Vienna-Zurich: [ux]https://rail.shop/oebb[/ux]
Zurich-Paris: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]
OR
Vienna-Munich: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Munich-Paris: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Paris-Amsterdam: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] or [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux]
Amsterdam-Vienna: first to a stop in Germany via [ux]https://rail.shop/nsinternational[/ux] or [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] , for example Frankfurt
Then Frankfurt (or an other city) to Vienna: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
If you travel by Interrail, note that you need reservations for the TGV trains to Paris (the Lyria from Switzerland is more than EUR 30).
And do not use the direct Thalys train from Paris to Amsterdam, also EUR 30 reservation.
Peter :)
