Im planning an Interrailling trip around Europe and I have time for one more city and Im trying to decide whether to go to Brussels or Bratislava. Does anyone have any experience with these two cities? I want to have a mixture of site seeing in the day and going out in the night, which city would anyone say would give me the best combination of these two?

Hi.
Why not Bruges ( https://rail.cc/en/bruges/c ) or Ghent ( https://rail.cc/en/ghent/c ) ? :)

Ive been to Belgium a few times before though and I want to try new places but would you say that these places have more of what I am looking for than Bratislava?

Gent definitely has a nice student nightlife (as has Leuven); but Bratislava is supposed to be a great city for going out as well (but I have been there only as a child).
Anyway there are lots of other great places to discover in Europe as well but it is difficult to give recommendations without knowing your exact route.

My plan is to do

Paris
Amsterdam
Berlin
Prague
Budapest
Vienna
Verona
Barcelona
Madrid
Porto

Then either go to Brussels in-between Paris and Amsterdam or go to Bratislava in-between Budapest and Vienna

Then stop in Brussels.
Paris to Amsterdam will take some hours if you want to avoid the direct and expensive Thalys train with Interrail (+ EUR 39 reservation). So Brussels is a good option to split this route in two parts.
