I am staying with a friend in Istanbul before travelling through Europe with an interrail pass. When I was planning my trip I found in the railcc site that there was a bus from Istanbul to Athens. So when I bought my interrail pass i put my start date as the date I planned to leave for Athens. I emailed the company to ask how I reserve a seat on the coach and I was told that their coach isn't included in the interrail pass.
I am trying to figure out a way that can get me from Istanbul to Athens on my as easy as possible included on the interrail pass and I don't think there is a way! I'm on flexi pass too so preferably I want to use as little days as possible. Can anyone help me!? I'm really really worried I won't be able to get from Istanbul to Greece at all on the pass and I just simply cannot afford the coach for 70€ or flying. If anyone knows of a cheaper alternative though I might have to go with that.
Cheers

Hi.
There is nowhere written on railcc, that the bus is included in Interrail:
hhttps://rail.cc/en/istanbul/bus/c
If you want to travel by train to Thessaloniki (and on to Athens), you will have to travel via Sofia. Train Istanbul-Sofia, then Sofia-Thessaloniki.
Just let me know your order-PNR (by personal mail) of your Interrail pass purchase via the railcc partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] , then I can set your profile to PLUS and give you all necessary details. Thank you to be fair and to support all the free information on railcc! :)
