Hello all,

I have a question on the discount for travelling from my country of residence to a neighbouring country .

Theoretical you get the discount until the border.

But From what I ve seen, I cannot do this on the train company' s website.

I would appreciate your help

Some additional info : travelling from Belgium (country of residence ) to cologne .

Thank you

Hi!

Thanks for supporting railcc! :)
To get your discounted ticket to the border you will have to go to a SNCB/NMBS station ticket desk. You need a ticket to Aachen Süd (Gr) which is the border tariff point. I would recommend to use an IC service to Liège and use the two-hourly IR service from there to get to Aachen, from where you can continue to Köln and other stations in Germany. If you want to use one of the direct ICE services from Bruxelles to Köln you might need to pay a bit more, but the staff and the ticket desk will be able to give you the exact fares.
