Hello everybody,
we are planning our INterrail which includes Berlin, Amsterdam, LOndon and PAris. The problem is that, by going from Amsterdam to London, we have an exchange in Schiedam which lasts only four minutes between the arriving train and the departing one. It is not possible to avoid this problem because this exchange appears in every possible schedule.
Is there anyone who did this before?
Or, there is someone who can tell me if the timetables are trustworthy in Netherlands?
thanks

Hi!
The change of trains in Schiedam is no problem:
- Trains are usually on time
- The schedule planners only show connections that are possible to make under normal circumstances (there is a minimum connection time set for each station).
- If you want a longer stopover time at a certain station, you can enter that station as a via station and enter any amount of time. Of course this only works with proper schedule planners: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
- Trains in the Netherlands run very frequently, on the main routes usually every 15 minutes; so if you would miss the train in Schiedam there will be another connection available very soon afterwards.
- Have you read the blog post about the Dutchflyer? https://rail.cc/blog/from-london-to-amsterdam-with-the-dutchflyer/
- Finally, and most important: ;) To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)
