Hello everyone! First of all let me say that this is a great forum, and it has been incredibly helpful in the planning of our first interrail trip. Therefore it goes without saying that we bought our interrail passes through this site :) 10 travel days in 22 days btw!
We will arrive in Munich on the 5th August by plane and leave Munich again on the 18th August, so our plan is to make a roundtrip and focus on the countries Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Austria as you see from our itinerary. However we are a bit worried that we might be including to much in only 13 days, what do you guys think?
Our travel route is not set in stone so feel free to change it if you have some other ideas. The most important for us would be to get to take a scenic route or two through the alps, and perhaps have a day or two at the beach in Venice :)
Thanks in advance :D

Hi!
Thanks for supporting! Please send me or Peter your order ID to upgrade your account to Premium. :)
Munich - Zürich: Take one of the direct EC trains, no reservation required
Zürich - Brig - Milano: Is there are special reason you planned that particular route? I would recommend to take this route instead: https://rail.cc/blog/zurich-milano-albula-bernina/
You could also make a day trip in central Switzerland: Zürich - Bern (visit the old town) - Interlaken - Brünig Railway - Luzern (visit the old town) - Zürich; if you stay overnight in Luzern you could also make a trip to Mount Rigi (blog post will follow soon).
Milano - Venice is best done with the direct Frecciabianca trains however these require an additional 10€ reservation (which can be easily bought at a ticket machine in Milano); there are also slower regional trains available.
Venice - Ljubljana is a bit of an adventure; have a look here: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/ An alternative route would be via Trieste - Villa Opicina - Sezana however due to several bus replacements en route I would not recommend it this year unless you would want to visit Trieste.
Ljubljana - Bled: It would be actually smarter to get to Bled first (like explained in the blog post above: Venezia - Gorizia - Nova Gorica - Bled), then continue to Ljubljana.
Ljubljana - Wien: Best by direct EC train (visit the Slovenian restaurant car!); if you'd have time, make a stopover in Graz! ;)
Wien - München: Direct Railjet trains every two hours; you could think about a stopover in Salzburg to visit the old town.

Hey again and thanks for a detailed answer, appreciated!
There was no particular reason for wanting to go by Brig, think we must have looked at the wrong route or something. But anyway, the route you linked seems alot better and is exactly what we are interested in :)
How hard would it be to get to Bled in the train route you gave us (Venezia - Gorizia - Nova Gorica - Bled)? Perhaps it would be easier to go to Rome instead and spend some more time in Italy(Instead of the days in Slovenia)? This will be our first interrail trip and we have barely been on a train before, so we just dont wanna overdo things on our first trip.

A convenient connection to get to Bled would be:
Venezia Santa Lucia 1041 - 1222 Monfalcone
Monfalcone 1256 - 1317 Gorizia Centrale
Nova Gorica 1445 - 1628 Bled Jezero
If you would like to have a longer stopvoer for a coffee or something in Gorizia, you could also leave Venezia SL on a direct train at 1004.
Of course you could also go to Rome, considering your rather packed schedule you should then think about using the high speed trains from Milano/to Venezia (Frecciarossa/Frecciargento) with 10€ compulsory reservation.
