So I'm finding it difficult to book reservations on the night train that runs from Berlin to Paris on Monday 14th July (arriving on the 15th). It needs to be for 4 people, but nothing seems to come up using DB website. Any suggestions? Is it worth calling DB and seeing what is possible?

Thanks

Hi!

I assume you followed the instructions at the link? https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/berlin-paris-cnl450/19
It seems that there is no availability anymore except for a combined 3bed and 1bed sleeper (which would be expensive). :|

However, if you want, you could of course phone DB but I think they wont have better news either.

To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

I've looked for the following evening and there is availability but our passes wouldn't be valid, which options would I select to just see what kind of costs we would be looking at to delay our travel by 24 hours? Because we have the 5 in 10 day pass which becomes valid on the 6th July (we get the night train from Rome to Vienna), which I think will mean that travel overnight for the 15th into the 16th isn't valid.

We have 2 'travel days' to play with - would this mean we might be able to travel by trains which involve 1 change (and so aren't classed as overnight?) if we were to try and continue travelling overnight on the 14th if we wanted?

Yup, your IR pass ends on the 15th at 2359.
You can look for other travel options on the night from 14 to 15 including changes of trains if you have two travel days, yes.

For further questions, please tell me your order ID if you purchased your tickets via [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] or ask where you bought your tickets.

Have had a suggestion of just adding in another city for one evening, which would then mean (as long as we arrive by the end of the 15th in Paris) it would still be within the travel periods we're allowed?
