Okay so I was planning to travel from from florence- Pisa -Rome-Venice (using an interrail pass) towards the end of July. However, I thought this would be free considering that I had the pass. According to the interrail website, however, a €10 reservation fee is required for each train... Does anyone know if this is actually the case or if there are any non-reservation trains available?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

All Frecce trains (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, Frecciabianca) have 10€ compulsory reservation - these are the fastest long distance trains and the reservation makes sense on longer routes.
There are also still a few Intercity trains, not as fast as the other trains; 3€ reservation recommended.
Of course there are also frequent regional trains without compulsory reservation.
