Hi all,

I know this has probably been asked time and time again but a bit new to this.

Was wondering how we would go about reserving our trains, we understand how to book a night train reservation but a lot of the trains through Italy, Croatia, Hungary and through Germany to Amsterdam suggest reservations and we'd like to guarantee a spot.

We're a group of 8 and all have our passes and all but one of us are 18, we have one 17 year old.

I've tried to use the rail dude service but it says reservations can't be found.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Matt.
Please let me know your order-PNR of your Interrail pass purchases in the railcc shop by personal mail to give you detailed help. Thank you to be fair and to support the free information we offer! :)
You find a lot of connections with details here: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Which routes you want to travel exactly? As a general answer is not possible. Also dates are important. Not every reservation is available online - usually you buy them at a railway station.
Peter :)

Italy: depends on your route - usually you have the option to avoid the high-speed trains and to use free regional trains.
If you want to spent the money for a reservation, buy it at a ticket machine or at [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]
Italy to Slovenia is free: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/
Croatia: buy at the station if required
Hungary: buy at the station if required
Hungary-Austria-Germany: free
Germany-Amsterdam: free
Night trains require a reservation, see details here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
