Hi everyone,

I am planning to travel from NICE to ROME and I found a train connection that fits my schedule.

https://rail.cc/en/train/nice-to-rome

However, when I go to purchase the point-to-point tickets for the 2nd part (Ventimiglia - Turin), I couldn't find the exact train via ([ux]https://rail.shop/trainline[/ux]) search engine (only 16:38 - 22:30 can be found).

May I know if it is a possible route? is there any other possible Night train options from NICE to ITALY?

Thanks much :)

Kelvin

Hi Kelvin.
What is your travel date you are looking for a point to point ticket?

Okay. Thank you.
The route you linked to, changed a bit. Departure is now earlier and no longer possible via Cuneo (a scenic detour) at that time. :|
Note: Italian regional trains might not be available for purchase right now due to the annual small change in the European train schedules on 15-06-2014.
What you can do is try a booking via [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] for Nice to Turin (or also Milan or wherever you want to change in Italy) and then a second ticket via [ux]https://rail.shop/omio[/ux] for Turin to Rome.
It is also possible to make the full booking of the route via [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]

Really thanks for your prompt and information.

I can find the full route via rail.shop/sncf now ( I spent a whole day searching it in different website :?: ).

And one more question, is it included if I purchased the eurail pass :) ? Thanks Peter!

Ah okay. I thought you want to travel by point to point tickets.

On some trains you have to pay extra reservations with your Eurail pass.
Have a look here for details, if you have to pay extra or not (see yellow and green bars in the lines of the connections):
https://rail.cc/en/eurail/nice-to-rome

The route we talk about: dep 1425, arr 0717
is free up to Turin. From there a reservation for the night train is required:
https://rail.cc/en/eurail-night-train/turin-salerno-icn-797/194
Scroll bellow the map and you find where to buy the reservation. :)

And please let me know your order-PNR of your Eurail pass purchase via the railcc partner link (the one beginning with AA) [ux]https://rail.shop/eurail[/ux] - thank you to be fair and to support all the free information and help in the forum we offer.

Haha..actually I am now comparing the price and see if it is cheaper to buy the point to point tickets instead of global pass as I will travel around Europe for nearly one month.

btw..Thanks :) Your info is super useful for new user/traveler like me
