Hi.
It depends on how many days you wan to travel in total. The ferry is an option: https://rail.cc/en/civitavecchia/ferry/c
But you can also travel by train via Ventimiglia, Nice, along the French coast, include the Little Yellow Train in the Pyrenees.

Hi!
In my opinion it makes not much sense to make a stop in Sardinia, better take one of the direct ferries with InterRail discount from Civitavecchia or Livorno to Barcelona, then go to Madrid and travel back to Paris.
This would be all possible within a 15 day timeframe of course. :)
From Madrid you could go to San Sebstian/Bilbao for a stopover on the way to Paris or head for the beaches of Biarritz or the Dune de Pyla near Arcachon.

Hi.
If you use the UK.voyages-sncf website, please use it via this link: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] - for you the same price, but railcc gets a little commission to continue our free work in the forum and to pay the webservers. Thank you! :)
What date exactly you want to travel Madrid to San Sebastian by Alvia?
You can also try [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]

Madrid - San Sebastian: the reservation is available for the 14-07-2014 at [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]
But it won't be a problem to buy it at the station for example in Barcelona.

You can make reservations not only at the station of departure but also at other stations where the train does not stop. For most trains you can also make reservations from abroad.
No, there is no Madrid - Bordeaux direct train.
