Hi,
I bought yesterday through railcc 6 global passes and with it reservations for 3 routes.
We are travelling during August and I wanted to ask if we should make as soon as possible reservations for the following trains or if it is possible to make them once we arrive at the train stations in those countries(1 or 2 days prior to departure):
- Ljubljana – Vienna (EN 498 + EN 467)
- Prague – Budapest (EN 477)
- Berlin – Paris (CLN Perseus)
After Paris we wanted to go to Zurich through this route - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-zurich
But it says now that the reservation cost is 36 euros and before it said only 9 euros. Which one is it? I am confused…
If the cost now is 36 euros is there any chance I can change the reservation I made for the train conecting Zurich to Chur?
thank you :)

Hi.
Thank you for supporting all the information on railcc with your rail pass purchase. :)
Ljubljana - Vienna: do NOT travel by night train. As you have to change in the middle of the night on a route which you can travel for free within less than 6 hours by day train.
Prague - Budapest: go to [ux]https://rail.shop/cd[/ux] - fill in Praha and Budapest and select the option Document: supplementary services, reservations. Select the DIRECT EN night train. Then click Seat reservation on the train and select the type of accommodation you want. I personally recommend at least a couchette. It is not expensive: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/prague-budapest-en-477/282
Berlin - Paris: buy as soon as you know your exact travel date the reservation. This train is often full. Do it like explained bellow the map here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/berlin-paris-cnl450/19
Paris - Zurich: yes, sadly the Lyria TGV trains have now a high extra reservation. :|
What you could do is first to travel Paris-Mulhouse and try to get a cheaper TGV reservation. Then by local train via Basel and then on to Zurich.
What date you want to travel?
Zurich - Chur: no reservation required on this train route.

Ok, thank you, but I am having trouble booking the reservation through DB BAHN because when it asks to insert the identification document and personal data and I select the option identify card I can't select my country of residence (Portugal), can I just select another one or it's impossible to book online if your are not from those countries?
We have to get to Zurich in the morning because we wanted to do this route: https://rail.cc/en/train/zurich-to-milan and we only have on day to do it. Do you think that would be a good option (in order to be in zurich or chur by the morning) travelling from Paris to Munich during the night and then from Munich to Chur directly (if possible) or via Zurich?
Zurich-Chur
The problem is that I had already booked the reservation between Zurich and Chur, is there any chance I can change it for later? for the train that departs at 12.37 pm? Because we won't be able to get to Zurich to catch the 10.37 am train.
Thank you :)

Berlin - Zurich: select the option Book without registering and in the next step Tickets by mail (additional fee of EUR 3,50 per order). Then you won't need an id-card.
Mmmh. I don't really understand... do you want to get from Berlin to Zürich and then crossing the Alps or do you come from Paris to Zürich? :)
Reservations are not refundable like explained in the ACP shop - I'm sorry.

Sorry. I want to go from Berlin-Paris, and then from Paris to Zurich and then from Zurich to Milan. And I was trying to get an alternative to avoid the TGV that connects Paris-Zurich because it's too expensive.

I did some research and since we need to be in Zurich by the morning, would this be a good alternative?:
- Paris - Ulm by CNL40451 (https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-munich-cnl40451/32)
- And then from Ulm to Zurich?

This would be possible:
Paris 2005 - 0542 Ulm
Ulm 0556 - 0813 Tuttlingen
Tuttlingen 0816 - 0840 Singen
Singen 0902 - 0914 Schaffhausen
Schaffhausen 0918 - 0955 Zürich

Sorry, I mixed you travel route above. ;)
And for Paris to Ulm, make the reservation like explained bellow the map here (get it send by letter to you, no e-ticket):

The train Paris to Zurich is available for reservation in Paris then at the station. Keep in mind the high fees!
You can not book it online for now.
