I'm thinking of getting this train on 18th August. I'm thinking of the night train as I will be in Prague, so if I travel to Munich in morning then I get half a day in Munich before travelling on to Bled - else I have a 10hr+ journey from Prague taking up the whole of a daytime - I may as well visit Munich and save on accommodation fees. :)
According to the bahn website (i go via your link) it leaves at 23:40 and arrives at 05:17.
I have two questions;
1) Do I need a reservation? My indications are I do not - I will have an interrail pass.
2) Will buses operate at that hour connecting the train station and Lake Bled.
Thanks in advance.

1) You will need a reservation for this train, 5€
2) I am not sure; however you might think about going to Ljubljana first (sleep longer), put your luggage in a locker, visit the city during the day and go to Bled in the afternoon/evening.

Cheers Flow, great as always.
Bahn website doesn't currently show any fares. Do I need to wait till 2 months beforehand (June) to book this train?

The night train is not available to book online - neither regular tickets nor reservations for InterRail.
You can make reservations directly at a station or try at [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] (which can be more expensive).

Hi.
If you use [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] , fill in Munchen and Lesce Bled.
To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

I will do, but whilst your here; what should my start date be for my pass:
My first journey will be on the 12th August departing Paris on an overnight direct train to Berlin at 20:05 and arrive at 08:28. I've come across a 7:30 rule or something somewhere - is this still in place? So my start date would be 14th August even though I'm actually travelling on 13th August at night?
So it's the voyages site to purchase off after clicking your link?

Have a look here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
If your Interrail pass starts on the 14-08-2014 at 00:01h in the morning, you can not use a night train which starts already on the 13-08-2014 and make use of the 1900h-rule.

...and yeah, UK users are redirected to the Voyages SNCF site to purchase IR tickets :)

Yes, that's right. UK-SNCF is currently cheaper than ACP. If you want to book via UK-SNCF, use this link [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux] , if you want to book via our partner ACP use this link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] and go to Interrail via the menu in the top left corner. If you want to be redirected automatically use [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
