Hi,

Just wondering how would I go about getting from Madrid to Cinque Terre with an inter rail global pass? Departing on Sunday 29th June.
Sorry I know I can check the train connections but everytime I do I get so confused about what to book, prices, timings etc as this is my first time interrailing :o

Also heading from Cinque Terre to Florence so any help with that would be awesome too! thanks! :D

Hi.
You have several options and you can\'t do it in one step. You will have at least one overnight stop on this route.
Either already in Perpignan (if you include the Little Yellow Train) or/and in Marseille or Nice.

Madrid - Barcelona: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/madrid-to-barcelona
From Barcelona you could include the Little Yellow Train to cross the Pyrenees:
Barcelona - Latour de Carol https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-latour-de-carol
Latour de Carol - Perpignan https://rail.cc/en/interrail/latour-de-carol-to-perpignan
Along the coast via Marseille and Nice to Ventimiglia (border crossing) and on to Italy.

Faster option: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/madrid-to-marseille
Overnight stop in Marseille and the next morning on to Italy via Nice and Ventimiglia.

Schedules here: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]

If you let me know your order-PNR of your Interrail pass purchase via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] , I can set your profile to PLUS. Thank you for supporting the free information and the forum with your purchase in the railcc shop. :)
