Hi I'm totally new to this forum and any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be arriving to Munich on Oct 2 and will be staying there for 3 nights. I'm planning to visit Budapest, Vienna, and hoping to see Amsterdam as well (if i have enough time), but i will be flying home from Prague on Oct 12.
I have been to Europe before but i have never taken a train. I was hoping to catch a night train between those places but i don't know where to start after Munich without wasting my time traveling and backtracking.
Please help. Thank you so much.

Hi.
If you do not want to stay to long time in trains, you can easily travel by point to point tickets.
Munich - Vienna: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] - from EUR 29
Vienna - Budapest: https://rail.shop/oebb[/ux] - from EUR 29
Budapest - Prague: [ux]https://rail.shop/mav[/ux] - from EUR 19
As earlier you book, as cheaper the prices are.
Including Amsterdam will require a bit more of time in trains...
There are night trains from Munich to Amsterdam and from Amsterdam to Prague: https://rail.cc/en/night-train

I forgot to ask but two nights is good to see each of the city, right? I haven't book any hotel yet in any of the places i'm going, except Munich. I booked that early Feb. Thank you again.

Three nights are always better than only two. But all cities you visit are interesting.
Spent the same amount of days in each city. :)

And if you are booking hostels, you can do it via this link. Same price for you, but you support the free information here on railcc and the forum . Thank you. :)
