Does anyone have a travel insurance recommendation for 2-3 weeks of inter railing. For myself I just need a standard travelling cover with medical in case of mishap, thought never visited hospital since birth so don't plan into in Europe.

Yet in stark comparison, I need to purchase full medical cover for my girlfriend, whom, with no condition diagnosed by Doctors (at least yet) experiences feinting and palpitations frequently. From what I've seen so far different companies go into differing amounts of detail - some don't ask questions and give a cheap quote for full medical cover yet others go into detail and have been quoted as much as £100. I'm aware the former may not cover her, but then the latter seems extreme since nothing has been diagnosed and the symptoms often disappear within 30mins.

Any advice on what insurance to get and who with would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! If you and your girlfriend you're both British citizens you can have an EHIC card as a standard (and very basic) insurance. It is completely free of charge and you can apply via website for the card. It is only a basic insurance (and you can use the card only in EU countries) but for you (a healthy person) it should be ok (still as a basic). Thanks to EHIC the additional insurance for your girlfriend may be cheaper because some treatments and services may be already available on the card.
