Couldn't write the entire route in the topic subject, so here is our plan (travelling with 3 friends):
Milan-Rome-Corfu-Thessaloniki-Sofia-Belgrad-Budapest-Bratislave-Wien-Praha-Munchen-Geneve

Some info:
- We are travelling from the 1st to the 16th of August.
- InterRail Global flexi 10 out of 22 days.
- We are planning to visit most cities during the day and travel by train during the night.
- Just found out that the ferry from Bari to Corfu is available only 3 days a week and is sold out in our planned days. So we decided to go from Ancona to Corfu.

Here is some of my difficulties/questions, that need help:
- I cant seem to find timetables for Corfu-Igoumenitsa ferrys.
- I read somewhere that the best way to get to Thessaloniki from Igoumenitsa is by bus. Where can I find the bus ticket costs, reservations?
- I understand that there are some difficulties in international trains in Greece, what the best way to travel from Thessaloniki to Sofia?
- Is this route achievable? Is there any advice, helpful tip or word of wisdom to a group of friends that never InterRailed before?

Thanks for all the help.

Hey Aquilles!
According to the Greek Bus Service there are two direct daily buses from Igoumenitsa to Thessaloniki (4h of travel):
09:30 from Igoumenitsa - 13:30 in Thessaloniki
14:00 from Igoumenitsa - 18:00 in Thessaloniki
The normal one-way ticket price is 34,30EUR

As for as I know, the international train connections to/from Greece are still suspended, so the best way to go from Thessaloniki to Sofia is by bus (5h of travel). Again, you've got at least 2 daily buses:
15:30 from Thessaloniki - 20:30 in Sofia
01:10 from Thessaloniki - 06:10 in Sofia (an overnight one) - all the times are due to Greek time zone!
The cost of a one-way normal ticket is 20,00EUR
On the website of Tsentralna Avtogara Sofiya (Sofia Central Bus Station) there are from four to six arrivals daily from Thessaloniki so it mean there are more companies serving this route.

In my opinion, your route is completely achievable. You have an overnight bus Thessaloniki-Sofia, than overnight trains Sofia-Belgrade, Belgrade-Budapest, Wien-Praha. Between Budapest - Bratislava and Vienna the distances are very short (1-3 hours) so you can do it during the day. I recommend you to mix Bratislava with Budapest or Vienna (Bratislava is a beautiful city, but it's size let to see it in a couple of hours, so the rest of the day you can spend in Budapest or Vienna).

Greetings :D

Hi!

From 10 May there are daily trains again from Thessaloniki to Sofia and Belgrade (via Skopje). Still there is no train service from Greece to Turkey.
Igoumenitsa - Thessaloniki is only possible by bus since there is no railway line.
The route is certainly possible with a 10in22 however you might try to extend your travel period to make full use of the 22 days you have available.
