What date you want to reserve?
Do you travel with an Interrail pass?
If you book via [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] , you can only book Paris to Hendaye, the border station in France. Irun is just 1km away in Spain. Usually it is no problem to just stay the 5 minutes more in the TGV train until Irun.
Booking at the link above should be EUR 13.
Sometimes you can get it as well cheaper at railway stations, sometimes it is more expensive due to the limited seats for rail pass travellers.
Where did you found the EUR 36?
