Hi!
I'm an italian girl and I live in Sofia.
I need some information about a trip to Istanbul in the time range between the 1st May and the 6th May: where I can buy tickets, how much are they, where I have to take the train and so on.
Thanks a lot for your answers!

Hi!
Go to Sofia train station and look for the RILA Office. If you enter the grand hall, it is at the end of the hallway to the left. There you can buy international tickets. A one way ticket is about 20€ plus about 10€ for a couchette reservation, the train currently leaves at 1845: https://rail.cc/en/train/sofia-to-istanbul

Thank you so much!
Perchance do you know also information about a trip by bus for the same destination?

No, sorry. But you could go ask at the central bus station in Sofia, just beside the train station.

Thank you again!
I promise you that this is my last question :((
Do you know where is the train stop in Istanbul?
Just to have an idea about the city area of the arrival...

No problem. ;)
Currently, the train does not run to Istanbul due to extensive track construction works. The train ends around 6 in the morning in Cerkezköy, from where there is a bus service (included in the ticket) to Istanbul. The bus arrives at the old train station Sirkeci in the city centre.

Hi i'm also planning an interrail to Istanbul this july,
and i'd like to know if it's the same in the opposite direction (from istanbul to sofia) with the bus, and if the time of the journey is the same or not (in fact we plan to take another train from sofia to belgrade two hours later ... (from the innitial timline) )
Thanks a lot for the help ! 8)

Hi Martin.
It's the same for the way back. You can check everything on arrival in Istanbul where you can also buy your reservations to travel back to Sofia (also already available in Sofia at the RILA office in the main station).
Mmmh... two hours ... might be fine - but also possible that you miss this connection.
To support the free information and the forum on railcc, please be fair and buy your official Interrail pass via our railcc partner link: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)
